FORUM – Young Migrant Talents

FORUM – Young Migrant Talents is a project to facilitate dedication of educational opportunities and improve integration within the labor market. We support committed, talented and highly skilled students of allochthonous, socially disadvantaged families. Sophisticated programs and individual assistance constitute the success of the project, which was launched by Barbara Seibert at the beginning of the year 2007 in Hamburg. Here, in the middle of society, integration has been taking place at an equal level since the very beginning, this for the mutual benefit of the receiving society and the immigrating society.

Necessity. Because of globalization and an internationally competitive environment, immigration is an essential condition for Germany to preserve the opportunities of the country with which to obtain a sustainable viability. Thereby, evident regulation as well as an infrastructure equipped for the exigence of a global society are just as important.

Accountability. For the interest of a responsible receiving society, immigrating people should not only get the right to enter the country, but also all the necessary information about the structure of their new home. Only this way they will be able to orientate and to hold a prosperous life outside the transfer system. Although Germany has made big steps towards the right decisions, the necessity of minds and structure to catch up, is still major.

Sustainability. It is recognized more and more clearly that it is essential to take early support measures; Potentials of graduates and their families are widely still left to be discovered by coincidence – eventhough precisely these young people can set the course to a positive development towards integration.

Numerary and facts. Currently FORUM-Young Migrant Talents supports 180 participants and 60 Alumni with locations in Hamburg, Stuttgart and Berlin. Top-class lecturers and experts in science, management, jurisprudence, public authorities, politics, media, culture and many more fields, offer their expertise and time for dialogs as well as extensive events. Educational trips familiarize the adolescents with our country and its inhabitants. Furthermore, publications transmit firsthand information.

All this is only possible with a financial support which is why we constantly have to promote the project to gain further attention and donations. FORUM-Young Migrant Talents e.V. in Hamburg is a registered association to back up education and international understanding.

Dear Sir or Madam, FORUM-Young Migrant Talents offers a broad, pragmatic, federally applicable program remote from any ideology; The situation at schools, the growing demand for the job and training market and the demographic factor certify the need. »For me, working with different cultures is an invaluable experience, as it broadens my horizon, helps me to understand different perspectives and makes me value the diversity that others bring to my life. It’s also rewarding to work for a company that is recognized as a leader in diversity initiatives and continues to make this an integral part of its business strategy.«
